Know the state of an action
A saved thesis is not an executed trade. Account connection, authorization, order submission, fill, and chain confirmation are distinct states. Inspect the relevant acknowledgement and evidence before treating an action as complete.
Ideas, rules, and historical tests
A clear rule can still express a bad idea. A rule writer can misunderstand an instruction, and a person can confirm the wrong market, size, direction, or exit. A historical test depends on its data and assumptions and does not predict future results.
Leverage and liquidation
Leveraged positions can lose value rapidly and may be liquidated when margin is insufficient. Funding and other costs affect results. You can lose the capital committed to trading. A stop setting does not eliminate these risks.
Execution and data
A trigger price and a fill price can differ. Thin liquidity, rapid moves, delayed data, unavailable systems, and partial fills can affect execution. Stop orders may fill at a different price or remain unfilled, depending on order type and market conditions. Separate venue actions are not a single atomic trade.
Copying and records
Fair Copy is designed to order Proviso’s own submissions. It cannot control a caller’s unrelated wallets or guarantee matching fills. A recorded commitment demonstrates a sequence of events, not the quality of a thesis or a complete view of someone’s trading.
Permissions and infrastructure
Limited trading permissions can reduce what a key is allowed to do, but trading access can still cause losses. A connected service depends on its implementation, account permissions, venues, data sources, networks, and other providers. Self-custody does not remove software, market, or operational risk.
Eligibility and availability
Features and instruments may be unavailable in some locations or to some users. Review the eligibility requirements, terms, and disclosures of each connected service before use.
